The differences between a sidewall semi-trailer and other semi-trailers are mainly reflected in the structure, function and applicable scenarios.
The main feature of a sidewall semi-trailer is its sidewall design. Usually, a dumping mechanism is set at the bottom of the vehicle body, and hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical devices are used to help the vehicle body quickly dump and unload the goods. This design allows the goods to be evenly distributed on the side of the vehicle body when unloading, which lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle and improves the stability of the whole vehicle. In contrast, other semi-trailers (such as ordinary semi-trailers) do not have this special sidewall design and dumping mechanism.
The main advantage of a sidewall semi-trailer lies in its unloading function. By unloading quickly, the time and labor costs of loading and unloading goods can be significantly saved. Due to its unique sidewall design and dumping mechanism, the sidewall semi-trailer can effectively lower the center of gravity and reduce the risk of rollover during transportation, and is particularly suitable for transporting heavy goods such as sand, coal, and construction waste. Other semi-trailers do not have these special functions and are mainly used for the transportation of conventional goods.
Sidewall semi-trailers are suitable for scenarios that require fast unloading and stable transportation, such as construction sites, mines, etc., due to their special unloading design and lower center of gravity. Other semi-trailers are suitable for general cargo transportation, especially in scenarios that require high-speed driving and stable loads.
