Recently, a domestic special-purpose vehicle production base was abuzz with activity as a batch of 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers, custom-built for the Moroccan market, completed final factory inspections and officially embarked on their journey to Morocco. This batch of 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers, totaling 30 units, marks the fifth shipment of special transport equipment delivered by the production base to the North African market this year, and also represents a key achievement in deepening China-Morocco cooperation in infrastructure logistics. To ensure the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers adapt to Morocco’s mountainous terrain and large temperature variations, the R&D team conductedspecial research from the design phase, collecting data on transportation routes and material characteristics of major infrastructure projects in Morocco, and finally finalized the core configuration plan for the 4-axle powder tank
semi-trailers.
According to the project leader, the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers shipped this time will mainly serve key infrastructure projects in Morocco, such as highway construction and port expansion. Morocco has vigorously promoted infrastructure upgrades in recent years; in 2024 alone, it has planned 12 highway projects and 8 affordable housing projects, leading to a surge in demand for powdered material transportation. The batch deployment of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers will effectively ease the material transportation pressure of local infrastructure projects. The leader also revealed that during a previous inspection, Moroccan customers test-driven the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers and highly recognized performance indicators such as the handling stability and unloading efficiency of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers.
From an industry development perspective, the batch export of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers to Morocco not only demonstrates the technical strength of domestic special-purpose vehicle manufacturers but also provides new ideas for domestic special equipment to enter the North African market. In recent years, with the advancement of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, domestic special-purpose vehicle enterprises have accelerated their international layout. The 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers have gradually gained recognition in overseas markets due to their customized design and high cost-effectiveness.
As the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers gradually arrive in Morocco and are put into use, the material transportation efficiency of local infrastructure projects will be significantly improved. Taking a highway project in Morocco as an example, due to a shortage of powdered material transport vehicles, the project previously only completed 3 kilometers of road paving per month. After the deployment of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers, the material transportation frequency of the project increased from 8 times a day to 12 times, and it is expected to complete 4.5 kilometers of road paving per month, shortening the overall project duration by 3 months. In addition, the low-energy consumption feature of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers will also help customers reduce operating costs. Calculations show that the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers is 8% lower than that of existing local models. Based on each 4-axle powder tank semi-trailer traveling 50,000 kilometers per year, a single 4-axle powder tank semi-trailer can save approximately 12,000 RMB in fuel costs annually, creating more economic benefits for customers.
In the future, with the continuous deepening of China-Morocco cooperation, the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers are expected to achieve larger-scale promotion in the Moroccan market. The production base also plans to explore the possibility of joint venture factories with local enterprises in Morocco. Through technology transfer and localized production, the production cost and delivery cycle of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers will be further reduced, allowing the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers to better serve Morocco’s infrastructure development. At the same time, the successful export experience of the 4-axle powder tank semi-trailers will provide a reference for other domestic special equipment, promoting more domestic special-purpose vehicles to enter the international market and contributing to the high-quality development of global infrastructure projects.
