Recently, a batch of 3-axle tanker semi-trailers marked with "LUYI" officially departed from the Jining, Shandong factory. These 3-axle tanker semi-trailers will be shipped to Uganda via a combined "sea + land" transportation mode, becoming another important achievement of the Jining, Shandong factory in exploring the overseas special transportation equipment market. As products customized for Uganda’s energy logistics needs, the entire process of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers, from design and production to inspection, is completed at the Jining, Shandong factory, fully demonstrating the factory’s technical strength and customized service capabilities in the field of heavy equipment manufacturing.
After receiving the order from the Ugandan customer, the Jining, Shandong factory immediately set up a special R&D team to comprehensively optimize the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers based on Uganda’s local tropical savanna climate, mountain road characteristics and oil transfer needs. In terms of material selection, the tank bodies of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers are made of Q345R high-strength weather-resistant steel, which undergoes three-layer anti-corrosion treatment including pickling, phosphating and spraying, effectively resisting the erosion of high-temperature and high-humidity environments on the tank bodies. In terms of structural design, the wheelbase and suspension system of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers have undergone repeated calculation and adjustment to adapt to the load-bearing needs of some unpaved roads in Uganda, ensuring stable driving even under full load.
During a previous inspection of the Jining, Shandong factory, the representative of the Ugandan customer stated that the reason for choosing to purchase the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers from the Jining, Shandong factory is not only that the customized design of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers accurately matches the local transportation scenarios, but also values the sound production system and after-sales support capabilities of the Jining, Shandong factory. The customer revealed that these 3-axle tanker semi-trailers will be mainly used for short-distance transportation from domestic oil fields to refineries in Uganda. It is expected that after being put into use, the efficiency of a single oil transportation can be increased by 40%, effectively alleviating the problem of tight transportation capacity in local energy transportation.
In the logistics and transportation link, the Jining, Shandong factory has joined hands with a professional international freight company to formulate an exclusive transportation plan for the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers. Considering the large volume and heavy weight of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers, the freight team uses special flat containers for loading, and installs anti-collision buffer devices on key parts such as the tank bodies and braking systems of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers to avoid damage caused by bumps and collisions during sea transportation. At the same time, the Jining, Shandong factory also arranges special personnel to track the transportation trajectory of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers throughout the process, and feedbacks the transportation progress to the Ugandan customer in real time, ensuring the customer can accurately grasp the arrival time of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers and make preparations for receiving the vehicles in advance.
The factory has compiled multilingual operation manuals and maintenance videos for the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers, covering daily inspection, fault diagnosis, regular maintenance and other contents. At the same time, the factory has also established a spare parts warehouse in cooperation with local partners in Uganda, pre-storing vulnerable parts of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers to ensure quick supply when parts are worn during subsequent use, reducing vehicle downtime.
The person in charge of the Jining, Shandong factory said that the successful shipment of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers to Uganda is an important practice of the factory’s strategy of "expanding overseas markets with customized products". In the future, the Jining, Shandong factory will continue to focus on the differentiated needs of overseas customers, continuously optimize the performance and design of the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers, and at the same time expand more cooperative customers in East Africa, allowing the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers made in Jining to provide support for the energy transportation industry of more countries.
It is expected that these 3-axle tanker semi-trailers will arrive at the Port of Mombasa in Uganda in about 45 days, and then be transported by land to the customer’s designated site. The Jining, Shandong factory will also send 2 technicians to Uganda along with the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers to provide on-site installation, commissioning, operation training and other services for the customer, ensuring the 3-axle tanker semi-trailers can be quickly put into operation and helping upgrade Uganda’s energy transportation system.
